Liverpool Biennial 2016: Artists announced
Liverpool Biennial have announced details of 37 artists from around the globe who will take part in next year's festival.
The 2016 festival will be organised into a series of thematic 'episodes' at locations across the city, described as "fictional worlds sited in galleries, museums, pubs, unused spaces, stations, hotels, parking lots, shops and supermarkets."
A number of next year's participating artists, including Edinburgh Art Festival 2015 exhibitor Marvin Gaye Chetwynd, will discuss their work and plans for the Biennial at a free talk at Bluecoat on 2 December at 6:30pm. View a full list of confirmed artists below.
Also showing as part of next year's Biennial are the Bloomberg New Contemporaries exhibition at Bluecoat – submissions for which open on 7 December – and the John Moores Painting Prize at the Walker Art Gallery.
Liverpool Biennial 2016 runs from 9 July to 16 October at venues across Liverpool. Read our review of the 2014 Liverpool Biennial.
