The Count & Sinden – Mega Mega Mega
Coming off an ace mix for Fabric, The Count & Sinden now provide a fully fledged album that shows the likes of Mark Ronson how to pull off credible, enjoyable collaborations. Helium voiced hip-hop from Rye Rye and melting dancehall from 77Klash provide highlights and over all it's so well sequenced that it can function as a party primer or a set of tracks in its own right.
The Mystery Jets bring some diversity while showing how well indie kids can blend with disco dons, and Katy B struts soulfully all over Hold Me. Bashy raps about Lady Gaga on Addicted to You, which would be a planet sized air-play hit if radio was run according to juster principles, and the excellently named Coolio Iglesias rounds off the guest roster with the percussive, driving LLamame. They make it sound so effortless, it shames most in the game. [David McNally]
