Phil Kay and Freemoore

The marvellous, effervescent comedy troubadour Phil Kay will be bringing his unusual comedy whimsy to the Pleasance Cabaret Bar, with a whirligig storytelling style that travels from daft one liners to serene patches of Scottish storytelling.

Always unpredictable, sometimes naked and never at rest on stage, Kay will be well met by the unconventional and joyful multi-instrumentalist Freemoore. Already familiar around his home base of Edinburgh playing in Orkestra Del Sol and The Ruffness, Freemoore can also be found blowing the trumpet with The Dresden Dolls’ Amanda Palmer. Never fixed in one genre, he creates 'heart rending and original' music, captivating his audience as he unfolds musical stories of loss and beauty.
