Edinburgh Film Festival announces Best of the Fest line-up

The list of films for the annual Best of the Fest screenings to conclude the 2015 Edinburgh International Film Festival has been revealed, ahead of the Festival’s award ceremony tomorrow.

Robert Carlyle's directorial debut The Legend of Barney Thomson – the festival's opening night film – gets another screening, as does Senna director Asif Kapadia's Amy Winehouse documentary Amy and Big Gold Dream: Scottish Post-Punk and Infiltrating the Mainstream, Grant McPhee's film on the Edinburgh post-punk scene.

There are also encore screenings for Arnold Schwarzenegger's zombie drama Maggie, Pixar's "remarkable" new animation Inside Out, Peter Mullan's new film Hector, relationship drama 45 Years starring Charlotte Rampling and Tom Courtenay, Peter Bogdanovich's new comedy She's Funny That Way, and Swung, the big-screen adaptation of Ewan Morrison's novel set on the Glasgow swingers' scene. Edinburgh Film Festival's Best of the Fest screenings take place this Sunday, 28 June. The Festival’s awards ceremony takes place tomorrow at Filmhouse, with eight awards to be handed out, including the Michael Powell Award for Best British Feature Film and awards for Best International Feature and Best Documentary Feature. The EIFF Audience Award – won last year by documentary Tony Benn: Will and Testament – will also be awarded at the ceremony.
