Threshold festival adds Barberos and more to bill
Threshold festival, Liverpool's annual festival of grassroots music and arts, has announced the second wave of acts to appear at the event in April.
Liverpool's Threshold festival has added 12 acts to its bill, joining six already announced at the end of last year.
Among the new names additions for the April event are noise-rock trio Barberos (famed around these parts for their unusual stage attire), and the intriguing Bathymetry, fresh off a support slot for The Jesus & Mary Chain.
They join a bill that already includes acclaimed singer-songwriter Natalie McCool and widely hailed folk duo Gilmore & Roberts (Kat Gilmore and Jamie Roberts). Also added are Johnny Sands, Killaflaw, Lying Bastards, Faitala, Spink, Jeramiah Ferrari, The Blowback Horns, Indigo Moon, Deliah, and Mari Hajem.

"We can be anyone we choose on stage" – Barberos talk to The Skinny
Festival director Kaya Herstad Carney said: "We aim to represent the very best grass roots music and arts from Liverpool and beyond. We believe these selections reflect the fantastic creative scene that the city has produced."
Founded in 2010, Threshold has become a fixture on the Liverpool calendar, populating several venues in the city's Baltic Triangle area with music, art and collaborative experiments across a three-day weekend. The 2016 edition marks its sixth year; the festival will take place 1-4 April.
