Glasgow venue BLOC+ releases second free mixtape

Glasgow venue Bar BLOC+ has released a second free mixtape on its new BLOC+ Music imprint.

The new ten-track compilation – BLOC+ Ensemble Volume 2 Part 2 – features tracks from Algernon Doll, So Many Animal Calls and Felix Champion. The release is the second of four free compilations set to be released by the label.

The album is available now to stream or download now on a free or pay-what-you-like basis via the label’s Bandcamp page. BLOC+ released its first compilation on the venue’s relaunch in September, featuring cuts from Adam Stafford, Vasa and Deathcats among others.

Introducing the first release, BLOC+’s Chris Cusack wrote in The Skinny: “The idea behind all this hassle is to prove that bands can exist outwith the mincer that is the mainstream. To help give a fighting chance to acts the industry rejects because their faces don't fit, because they won't compromise their art or refuse to auto-tune.”
