FINIFLEX – Bonus Freaks (Video Premiere)

Finitribe’s John Vick and Davie Miller are set to release their debut album Suilven under their new name FINIFLEX this May. Following on from the release of Ta Ta Oo Ha in October last year, the second single to be taken from the album, Bonus Freaks, is a rollicking 80s-infused house banger set for release on 30 March.

“The whole idea of Bonus Freaks came from the old bonus beats you’d get when you bought a new record – Bonus beats/Bonus Freaks – you get the idea,” Vick tells us. “Once we added the lyrics it’s become a homage to all the people out there seeking out new music, turning up to live gigs and generally keeping the music industry fresh and honest.”

“Bonus Freaks is determined and grips you with intent,” Miller adds. “A pounding heavy bass drum moves you into an industrial landscape and doesn't let up... It builds and builds again, relentless and massive. A repetitive beat with a repeat refrain which asks the question ‘BONUS FREAKS, WHERE HAVE YOU COME FROM?’ An anthem to all you freaks out there!”

“It’s the second single we’ve released from our forthcoming album Suilven and the process of putting the album together, making videos and playing live again has been thrilling,” Vick concludes. “The tracks are designed for live; designed to rattle the ribcage and remind you you’re alive… listen with caution.”
