ISLE – Faults: Video Premiere

ISLE are multi-instrumentalists Liam John Rutherford and Ben Singer. Based in the Scottish Borders, the talented duo pride themselves on producing everything from their artwork and videos, to their production all done independently. 

“All the artwork for our first EP Grey was about keeping things simple – very minimal and muted," explains Rutherford. "This time around Ben and I wanted to just to go all out – as vibrant as possible. The Faults video is pretty much as visually full-on as I could make it. We're in an age where it's too easy to jump to the next track, the next article, the next video, so you really have to try and catch the viewers’ attention straight out the gate.” 

Faults is about telling yourself that it’s ok to make mistakes growing up, as long as you learn from them. Melodically, the single is taut, hooky and uplifting, brimming with electrifying energy.
