An Edinburgh-based electronic outfit fronted by Oliver Kass alongside long-time collaborator (and Homework bandmate) Ally Dennis, Future Get Down have been making some serious waves since sharing debut track Dreamkillers last summer. They impressed with their "LOUD, dark, synth-fuelled dance music" at their debut show at Sneaky Pete's in January, and blew us all away at our Eclectica Experiment event back in April, and now we're proud to premiere the woozy, psychedelic visuals for their debut single End of the World After Party.

Recorded at the band's home studio and at Glasgow's Green Door studio, the track was mixed by Richard Formby, who has worked with the likes of Wild Beasts, Ghostpoet and Vessels. Describing End of the World After Party, Kass said: “It definitely wanted to be a pop track at the start but it’s somehow managed to mangle itself into something a little weirder and woozier over time. Like when you’re a few days deep into a lost weekend. After a while you start piecing things together with distorted and fragmented flashbacks. It’s the flashbacks that end up sticking with you, for better or worse.”

That vibe comes across in the video for the track, with pulsing colours washing over a shot of Kass and Dennis in their ever-present beekeeping outfits. Watch the video for End of the World After Party in the player above – and turn your speakers or headphones up. Trust us.

Future Get Down play an Electric Fields warm-up party alongside Marnie and Edwin Organ at Broadcast in Glasgow on 17 Jun; the band also play Electric Fields 2017 at Drumlanrig Castle, Dumfries and Galloway on 1 Sep.
