SAMA announce 2016 nominees

The SAMAs are announcing shortlisted nominees every day this week – here's the list so far

So far, the Scottish Alternative Music Award have announced the nominees for the Rock, Metal, Hiphop and Electronic categories – we'll be updating this page daily with the freshly-announced nominees.

The SAMAs ceremony will be held on Wed 12 Oct at The Garage in Glasgow, with The Van T's, Stillhound and Shogun heading up the live show on the night. It's the seventh year of the independently run awards, and a public vote (starting next week) will have see the Scottish music-loving public have the final say on the winners. Tickets for the SAMA ceremony are still available from £10 (or £6.50 for lucky students).
