Timberyard

With a menu focused on sustainability and the environment, Timberyard is a unique addition to Edinburgh's city centre restaurant scene. The spot is located on Lady Lawson Street, a short walk from Edinburgh College of Art.

Ingredients are supplied locally whether they are freshly made, freshly caught or freshly foraged. Even the cocktails are handcrafted and use homemade cordials, syrups and infusions.

The décor is suitably rustic and has a south-facing yard to make the most of Edinburgh’s one sunny day of the year, and a wood burning stove for snuggling up to inside for the rest of the time. The menu is modest but it’s a tough choice because everything sounds so delicious. None of your pub grub rubbish here!

Timberyard's also a firm favourite of the Edinburgh public, as demonstrated by the results of The Skinny's Food and Drink Survey. Timberyard was voted Best Newcomer and Best of Europe in 2014, and Best Date Place in both 2015 and 2016. This year it moved up the ranks, earning itself a place on out prestegious Best Resteraunt list.
