Ox and Finch is a recent addition to Finnieston, where it seems to be mandatory for bars and restaurants to have a stripped-back interior and exposed brickwork.
The restaurant is the latest venture from Glasgow's pop-up food pioneers Street Food Cartel. The space itself is bright and open, with lots of lights, and a mixture of tables and big booths. An open plan kitchen adds to the relaxed feel, whilst the sounds of chefs doing their thing adds a buzz to the place.
It's a little pricier, but the menu consists of a huge, ecletic selection of tapas dishes; thus the amount you fork out corresponds directly to the amount you fork into your mouth. There’s also a choice selection of draught and bottled beers, and some fine wines, which are on display behind copper wire. All in all, it has a lovely, rustic feel to it and the myriad glowing reviews seem to suggest this place will become a bit of a gem in Glasgow's crown.
Along with the reviewers, you, the fair people of Scotland, seem to rate this one pretty highly too. Ox and Finch has once again been voted one of the country's Best Restaurants in our 2018 Food and Drink Survey.
