Rock-themed sandwich shop? Why not? This basement breakfast and lunchtime stop offers a great selection of sandwiches, toasties, salads, hot and cold food, smoothies, milkshakes and more – not always just the tried-and-tested lunch deals either. In fact, look forward to options like the 'Meathammer' (MacSweens' haggis, chorizo, red onion marmalade and cheddar); or perhaps even the 'Nuclear Beans' (baked beans, cheese, red onion, cayenne pepper and Worcestershire Sauce on ciabatta).
You can sit in the back on some of the comfy couches and be hidden away amongst the music collage on the walls, or just grab a quick lunch to take away. They're more often than not pretty busy as the office hoards crowd in for lunch, but that doesn't stop it being a good place to spend some down time. If you're stopping by for a particularly large order, there's an order and collection system, which is really handy if you're picking up the office lunches.
The shop encourages local artists to exhibit their artwork commission free – meaning if you're an artist there's an opportunity for great exposure, and if you're a sandwich-muncher there's a great opportunity to check out the latest bounty of Glasgow's art scene.
