Kampong Ah Lee Malaysian Delight

Tucked away on South Clerk Street, Kampong Ah Lee Malaysian Delights (what a wonderful mouthful of a name!) isn't much to look at from the outside. To be brutally fair, it isn't much to look at once inside either, but what this canteen-style eaterie lacks in decor it more than makes up for with tasty, inexpensive Malaysian food. There's an extensive menu offering an intimidating array of noodle, rice and soup dishes – but the staff are more than happy to explain what's what and make recommendations. The nasi lemak is particularly good. As is the roti cenai, the beef rendang and the spicy, sticky ribs... Mmm, dribble... Just go, eh?
