The Modern Institute @ Airds Lane

The former glass factory now houses an exhibition space run by The Modern Institute. With its own program, the gallery hosts the same breed of pioneering work one can find at the Osbourne Street location, just five minutes away on foot. Essentially consisting of a huge, singular white-washed room, the space allows for more grander designs than might be encountered in its counterpart on Osbourne Street, with the current program favouring large-scale sculpture and installation. It’s a great choice of space that grants the Modern Institute a new wealth of possibilities in their pursuit of fresh, engaging work from Glasgow and beyond.
