Fallow Cafe is a small, 'blink and you'll miss it' bar and live venue in central Fallowfield. Previously part of the Trof family, the place was taken over by The Ruby Lounge in 2013 and has become a popular student hangout, loved for its delicious food and chaotic gigs. Downstairs the cafe itself is home to a menu rammed with home made food that won't break the bank, breakfast served 'til late, incredible roast dinners on Sundays, and lots of cocktails, milkshakes and imported beers behind the bar. Upstairs is a small venue that has hosted huge acts such as Wolf Alice, Circa Waves and even Frank Turner in the past, and continues to regularly welcome the latest 'ones to watch' to their stage, along with holding open mic nights, film screenings and pub quizzes, ensuring that there's something to do day and night. There's also a side helping of free term-time club nights for those that don't fancy the journey into town.
Fallow Cafe was named one of the best pubs, one of the best cafes, one of the best date places and one of the best places on-the-go in the North West in The Skinny Food and Drink Survey 2015.
