Gullivers

Gullivers is a pub owned by the same team behind The Castle Hotel just across the road, with an in demand music venue located upstairs. Similarly to its sister bar, it serves a range of local ales and craft beers and there's plenty of seating hidden in various nooks and crannies. While it's a great place to visit for a pint after work, there's plenty of reason to visit the upstairs room as there's often live music from local upcoming bands as well as national and more established acts passing through on tour. It's not just bands that appear there though, as there are frequent stand up comedy and spoken word performances hosted by the likes of Tales of Whatever and Quippodrome. Since it had a refit last year Gullivers has become even more of a Northern Quarter favourite with welcoming staff and a bustling atmosphere every night of the week. [Charlotte Davies]
