Federal Cafe & Bar is a cafe in Manchester's Northern Quarter specialising in brunch, brinner and drinks.
Just across the road from the Arndale Centre, it's a New Zealand and Australian cafe and one of the best places to go for brunch in the Northern Quarter. Breakfast is served until 12 noon and brunch is served all day with a great selection of dishes to choose from. How about smashed avocado, halloumi and shrooms or egg's benedict or Emily's banana bread?
If you fancy a boozy breakfast you can ccompany your food with a mimosa (prosecco and fresh orange), a bellini (prosecco and fruit puree) or a bloody Mary, and if you're popping in later in the day, check out the brinner menu for larger brunch-style dishes and a good selection of wine, beer, gin and cocktails.
Federal Cafe & Bar doesn't take reservations so it's first come, first served. Gluten free bread is available upon request.
Federal Cafe was a winner in the Best Cafe category in the The Skinny Food and Drink Survey 2017. Check out the other winners as voted for by The Skinny readers here.
