The Espy

The Espy, or Esplanade, is a seaside bar in Edinburgh facing towards the sands of Portobello Beach. With its extremely desirable location, The Espy invites customers (and their dogs) to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner in a lovely, comfortable and friendly environment. It’s a traditional pub with strange curios sitting all over the bar and it’s good for a chill out at any hour of the day. A good selection of beverages is available at the Espy, they’ve got it covered from cocktails to coffee. There’s also a fine selection of burgers, nachos and things to share, as well as some tasty desserts. The Espy is regularly jam packed with families, friends, couples and dog walkers. It gets particularly rammed at the weekend. Dogs are welcome to sit in the comfy lounge area of the bar as well, to soak up the atmosphere, which just adds to the overall lovely friendliness of one of Portobello’s finest.
