Set up in 2003 by the Education Department at the National Galleries of Scotland, Spin is a monthly members group which promotes discussion as the primary inroad to deeper understanding and appreciation of contemporary art in the city. Spin has maintained strong relationships with galleries, artists, curators and critics, to ensure that its members, both beginners and experienced art viewers, benefit with access to all areas of the most original contemporary art being produced. Whether you are completely new to contemporary art, already enjoy it, want to collect it, or are involved professionally, Spin strives to create a sociable, relaxed atmosphere in which art lovers from all walks of life feel comfortable communicating about and engaging with individual art works.
