Andrew Wasylyk - Last of the Loved: Video Premiere
Watch the video for Last of the Loved by Andrew Wasylyk, the new project from Andrew Mitchell of Idlewild and The Hazey Janes.
The track is taken from Soroky, Mitchell's debut solo album, with Last of the Loved's video directed by Mitchell and Andrew Maclean.
Describing the track and video, Mitchell says: "I recall the track was a late-comer to the album. I was aiming for something a bit denser, musically. Almost Baroque-esque.
"I think we induced a few heart attacks shooting this. Our premise was to either capture the trials and tribulations and disillusionment and anxiety we all face at some point, or just film me walking about looking mental. I forget which."
Andrew Wasylyk plays an album preview show in Dundee tonight (3 Nov), before a string of gigs this month supporting Deacon Blue frontman Ricky Ross. Andrew Wasylyk also plays a full-band headline show at The Hug and Pint in Glasgow on 19 Jan 2016, as part of the Celtic Connections festival.
Soroky is released via Empty Words on 6 November.
