Seven Days Of Idlewild: Make Another World - Exclusive live session

Video | 14 Feb 2015

Our Seven Days Of Idlewild series continues with the title track from the indie veterans' 2007 LP Make Another World, where the band sought to establish itself as a self-sufficient entity.

"We wanted to make a record that was a band in a room, to solidify where we were, and that was our rehearsal space," says guitarist Rod Jones of their effots to scale back the recording process under the watch of longtime producer Dave Eringa.

"With Warnings/Promises we'd spent so long writing and demoing and really realising the songs," singer Roddy Woomble continues. "We thought what the fans wanted was a straightforward rock album, and that's what we made quite quickly."

This is the fifth session in our series of seven with the band – watch them all from the start below.

Videography from Stuart Edwards & Peter Marsden.

The band will return imminently with a new album, Everything Ever Written. Read The Skinny's interview with Idlewild, where they talk about the new album and their earlier records.

You can also find out about upcoming Idlewild tour dates in The Skinny's stream of the band's new track Come on Ghost.
