Stay Fresh Sessions: Patty Hearst
Watch a live video of the indie rock heroes as they prepare to play Stay Fresh Fest 2
We've already met Patty Hearst, Manchester's premiere indie rock noisemakers – a dizzyingly exciting quintet, and probably the best band to be named after a socialite victim of Stockholme syndrome. Here we get to experience some of the furious energy that powers their live performances, with interweaving guitar patterns and a high octane rhythm section, topped off with a suitably excitable frontman. Bands like this tumble forth from most DIY punk scenes at some stage, but there's one important thing to remember here: they're not usually this ace.
The band's debut EP appeared last year courtesy of local indie stable Super Smash Hit Records – also home to lo-fi heroes such as Hot Shorts – and they're planning more for 2017. In the meantime, watch the video above and get excited for Stay Fresh Fest.
