Scenic it may be, but for some years now Edinburgh's Corstorphine has been crying out for a dose of independent bars and restaurants. Thankfully, the last couple of years has seen some great new additions to the area. Safe to say, things are hotting up out west.
Top of our list is Little Rascal, a swanky wee wine bar from the folks who brought the much-loved Good Brothers to Stockbridge. Little Rascal takes the 'trendy setting in which to drink nice wine' theme and runs with it, with an intimate atmosphere, candlelit tables and plenty of eye-catching bottles on display. You probably wouldn't want to swing a cat in here, but then you're probably going to be more focused on sampling the goods anyway.
When it comes to nice wine, these guys know their stuff. Not sure where to begin? Fear not; the knowledgeable crew will be on hand to talk you through the range of organic and natural vinos, and there are plenty of tasting sessions in the diary if you fancy making a hobby out of it. Better still, there are also some yummy cheese and charcuterie boards if you're in need of something tasty to soak it all up.
