The Reverie

Surely one of the homeliest watering holes in Edinburgh's south side, the Reverie manages both to serve decent coffee, a fine cocktail, and a good ale all at once – retaining just enough wood and brass to make you feel like you're in a traditional pub. The lunch menu consists of homemade fishcakes, good ol' mac'n'cheese and the ever popular 'build your own burger' – featuring options such as beetroot, fried egg, goat's cheese and chilli – for wherever your hangover might feasibly take you. Evening menu highlihts are the pie of the day and a juicy ribeye. Throw in a couple of jazz and folk nights and it's not hard to see how it has earned its popularity.
