VoxBox

VoxBox is a quirky, independent record shop in Stockbridge that will surely delight even the most discerning vinyl aficionado.

The front room has a wide selection of LPs in excellent condition, including sections on British and American blues, jazz, rock, folk, reggae, punk, new wave and indie. The backroom on the other hand is a treasure trove of bargain gems, with LPs and singles priced at a wallet-friendly £1.50 – alongside the odd book or random piece of music memorobilia to be rummaged for. Records are mostly pre-owned, although they are slowly branching into new vinyl – including releases by a fair few Scottish artists on independent labels. If that wasn't enough, there's also a vintage 1960s Dansette record player on which you can try before you buy.
