Mary Mary is a light and airy contemporary art gallery, located on Oswald Street, just by Central station in Glasgow city centre. Representing 14 international artists and with new exhibitions every 6-8 weeks, there is an ever changing and critically engaged programme.
The space is crisp and bright with a polished concrete floor and a sizeable main gallery space. Its perfect white walls give it the feeling of a blank canvas, ready to be filled with whatever comes to hand.
Founder Hannah Robinson set out to pick artists intuitively and organically rather than sticking to any kind of script, and the gallery has the feeling of a space ready to be hit with spontaneous inspiration from which ever direction it might come. It is far from the biggest or brashest gallery in Glasgow, but that just might be why you're so likely to find something interesting if you wander by Oswald Street on any given day.
Part of the Glasgow contemporary art circuit and involved in Glasgow International, the city’s biennial arts festival, there is always something exciting on the bill.
