On the idyllic riverside of Glasgow lies the SECC, or to those unfamiliar with the landscape 'The Armadillo' (our very own Sydney Opera House).

The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre has all the usual trappings of a colossal, inhuman venue and so most-often plays host to biggie acts of the popular-with-the-kids-and-middle-aged-folks variety.

Complete with 5 humonguous and adaptable halls, 3 hotels, restaurants, business centre and what-have-you; even a railway station and medical centre all under one roof - this is the definition of a super dome. As well as huge international acts, the SECC provides a uniformly generic backdrop for hundreds of conferences and public events every year, from theatre and comedy to exhibitions and live music.

Past events include the likes of Grand Prix snooker, the MOBO Awards and the Eurovision Dance Contest to give you an incling. As one of Scotland’s largest venues the SECC is an important, even if somewhat charmless, Scottish staple.
