Celebrating its fifteenth birthday in 2015, Moskito is a longstanding basement bar popular with post-work pint seekers as well as the pre-club crowds. As a well-established component of Bath Street's late night bar collective, Moskito offers a laidback alternative to its more boisterous neighbours, with soft lighting, cosy booths and even a wood-burning stove for those chillier Scottish evenings.
The menu boasts stonebaked pizzas and burgers as well as small and large 'bites' and desserts, most of which cost under a tenner. The wine and champagne selection is impressive and available in small and large glasses, or by the bottle if you're feeling indulgent. The beer selection features locally-sourced brews alongside a well-curated list of international offerings, meaning there's an impressive variety to work your way through. What's more, through affiliation with Hippo Beers, three new guest beers appear each month on rotation, a quirk which always guarantees there's something new for craft beer aficionados to sample.
