Porter & Rye

Taking over from its Indian Takeaway predecessor in the ever-evolving Southside of Glasgow, Porter & Rye is a classic steakhouse for those who like their meat with, y'know, a side of meat. 

From pork, bacon and partridge to steak with smoked oyster sauce or grilled languistines, the menu boasts a seemingly never-ending selection of meats, sides and sauces. Operating on a small plate dining premise and inspired by molecular cooking, processes and flavours are priority, a refreshingly traditional approach as the current foodie scene becomes increasingly dominated by burger joints. 

The classic cocktail menu also lends itself to the traditional feel, boasting over twenty cocktails entirely original to Porter & Rye, as well as spirits, liqueurs, whisky and both bottled and draught beers. The drinks menu is designed to complement the food, though it's also possible to request an original concoction or ask for a recommendation from the friendly and informed staff.
