Leith Depot

Occupying the site of the once dubbed ‘worst bar in Edinburgh’, Leith Depot has turned the doomed building’s fortunes around, by becoming a much more friendly bar, restaurant and events space.  The space itself can hold up to 70 people and hosts live music events, amongst other arty things such as poetry nights. Local musicians and artists make up the bill for the many events and gigs  which take place in the Depot’s cosy events space upstairs. The kitchen serves quality, local produce in the form of delicious mains and share boards. There’s a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options too. At the bar there are a range of guest beers available to sample, amongst your usual alcoholic fare. There’s a real community vibe in Leith Depot and it’s no doubt contributing to the revival or Leith Walk itself. It’s definitely another artsy venue to add to the list which is bound to feature in the likes of Leith Late and Leith Festival.
