Sugarhouse Sandwiches

Where can you find a hot lunchtime meal on the Royal Mile for under a fiver? Head to Sugarhouse Sandwiches, just opposite the Tollbooth Tavern, for delicious homemade food, made with love. Pastries, muffins and cakes decorate the counter and are very reasonably priced. Salads, sandwiches and rolls are available alongside soups, teas and coffees and hot daily specials. The mac and cheese is a particular highlight and the sausage rolls are a real delicacy. Sugarhouse Sandwiches is mainly a takeaway joint, but there’s a small seating area in the back too. A lovely addition to breakfasts and lunchtimes on the Royal Mile.
