Saint Luke’s is a stylish and sophisticated multi-purpose venue based in Glasgow’s East End, boasting an array of popular live music events as well as a restaurant and bar. Contained within a beautiful building which was once St Luke’s Parish Church, there are a variety of events to choose from across various nights including open mic, themed music nights, DJ sets, gigs and screenings of sports matches.
The restaurant, known as the Winged Ox, serves a broad menu deemed as ‘food for the soul’, with gourmet burgers, ribs and wings, sandwiches, salads and some ‘Saint Lukes Signatures’ like Mamma’s Homemade Meatloaf with roast tomato sauce and smoked garlic mash. The fish goujons are a highlight, though they might not feed five thousand, the accompanying crusty sour dough bread is heavenly (ahem, couldn’t resist).
With a DJ box in the pulpit, stained glass windows and a renovated pipe organ from the 1800s dominating the aesthetic, Saint Luke’s is undoubtedly chic, proving immensely popular as a testament to the ongoing regeneration of Glasgow’s East End.
