The Doublet

The Doublet’s a thoroughly democratic affair, the watering hole of choice for a clientele that includes students, pensioners, lawyers, nomads, and a fair few representatives from Glasgow’s Tin Foil Hat society (that is, nutters out to hoover up as much of your valuable time as possible).

Located on a corner just off Great Western road, The Doublet’s a favourite hunting ground for those in pursuit of the ever-illusive Glesga' Banter. Make no mistake; The Doublet’s a talking pub, particularly since the replacement of the original jukebox of legend, an occurrence that, in spite of approaching its third anniversary, is still bitterly discussed at length. Perhaps out of sheer convenience for the aging locals, you’ll usually find the younger crowd upstairs. With cheap pints on offer, it’s a great place to start the night – a time warp definitely worth braving.
