The Horse and Jockey

Located in a picturesque Tudor building in the centre of Chorlton, The Horse and Jockey is a charming country pub away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The pub’s seasonal, ever-changing menu boasts a huge range of food, from traditional pub meals, to burgers, steaks, salads, and hanging kebabs. They also serve breakfast ‘til late and roast dinners on a Sunday, including a vegetarian option. A deli counter is located at the front of the pub, stocking a range of locally sourced products available to eat in or take away. The pub also benefits from its own on-site microbrewery, which has created six ales since it opened in 2010, all of which are on sale on the bar. There’s a beer garden open in the summer months, and the pub hosts a number of evening events, including photography and writing classes, a book club, and a ‘bring your own vinyl’ night.
