The Lowry Studio

Located upstairs at The Lowry, the Studio is a versatile room, suitable for all sorts of events. When set up as one room, the Studio is perfect for exhibitions in the day, with the floor-to-ceiling windows giving plenty of natural daylight. The room can be divided into three studios, and the removable tiered seating in Studio 1 provides a location for conferences, small independent theatre productions and stand-up comedy from the newest upcoming acts. The Studio is also part of an artist development programme, which works with new writers, actors and production companies, offering a free scheme which gives access to industry workshops and masterclasses. Every year they choose one production company from this scheme to become an Associate Artist, providing them with full support from The Lowry, and hosting future productions by them. As a great starting point for many of these production companies, they have often toured their productions nationally and internationally since working with The Lowry.
